Celebrate Academy Award Winner Film Frozen with Disney Publishing (Review)

**I received the products featured below free of charge in order to do an honest review. No other compensation was received. My thoughts are 100% my own and others may have a different opinion.**

Have you seen the movie Frozen? It won The Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film and and Best Original Song and is a movie I have heard so much about. Celebrate these wins with the Disney Publishing Worldwide's award-winning Frozen Storybook Deluxe app, best-selling books, as well as Musical Magic Elsa and Anna dolls.
Disney Publishing has created print and digital books for children and families to enjoy long after the credits roll. I was sent 4 Frozen books to review. The interesting thing was that I did not see the movie until AFTER I read these books. So I got a little bit of a different look at these books from before I saw the movie and after.

·         Frozen: A Sister More Like Me: Explore a wintery world of magic in Walt Disney Animation Studio's latest film, Frozen. This jacketed picture book features an original story about Anna and Elsa, the film's two sisters, as well as illustrations by one of the artists who worked on the film.

This was the first book I read and it doesn't really tell the story of the movie, it's more of the relationship between the two sisters. It's a way cute book and so easy to read and kept the attention of my boys. The illustrations are wonderful and I loved the story.

·         Frozen Read-Along Storybook and CD: This USA TODAY best-selling novel tells the story of fearless optimist Anna who sets off on an epic journey—to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls, and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.

This book was a more detailed story of the movie. I felt like it really did capture a lot of the movie and when I read it before I watched the movie, I definitely understood what the movie was about. The CD is a nice bonus!

·         Frozen: A Tale of Two Sisters: This USA TODAY best-selling novel retells the story of sisters Anna and Elsa in this 32 page Step Into Reading Level Two reader which brings the adventurous tale of Frozen to early readers ages 4-6.

This book was an easier and shorter read, but still told you about the story of the movie. It doesn't go into as much detail as the Read-Along Storybook does, instead it basically gives you a more condensed version of the movie. It's a great book for your young readers to read.

·         Frozen: The Junior Novelization: This New York Times and USA TODAY best-selling novel retells the whole exciting story and features eight pages of full-color scenes from the movie!

This book definitely goes into detail and retells the whole story. It's great for older readers and is a chapter book. It does include eight pages of full-color scenes from the movie. I felt this book gave me the most details and really expanded on the story of Frozen.

I loved these books and really enjoyed reading them with my kids. Whether you are a Frozen fan or not, I highly recommend these books.

Be sure to also check out the Frozen: Storybook Deluxe App:

Frozen: Storybook Deluxe: Now available in Apple’s App Store, this digital storybook introduces early readers to Disney’s Frozen through all-new interactive features.  Children and families can relive the epic adventure by flipping the device upside-down to hear the story from sisters Anna and Elsa's points of view, using "ice craft" tools that let kids create and build their own frozen scenes and crystal palaces, and watching video clips from the film itself.

You can also celebrate the storytelling of Frozen and Anna and Elsa's special bond with the Musical Magic Elsa and Anna dolls from Mattel. When you hold the dolls hands (or when they hold each other's hands) the dolls will magically light up and play enchanting music inspired by the film.

Healthy Baby Home Party

**I received free products to host a Seventh Generation Healthy Baby Home Party. No other compensation was received. My thoughts are 100% my own.**

I believe in and try to always use products that do not have chemical toxins in them so I was excited when I was picked to host a Healthy Baby Home Party. I was sent a wonderful box full of information and products from great companies such as Seventh Generation, Happy Family, and Zarbee's.

I then hosted a party and decided to invite my family since they all have small children and I wanted to share these great companies with them. We had a great time with lots of yummy food!

We played the Healthy Home Bingo Game where we learned more about Healthy Home Tips and won some great prizes!

Everyone had fun and enjoyed learning tips to keep their homes safe and their families healthy.

We also signed the petition to stand up for safer chemicals. I strongly encourage and ask you to sign the petition as well: Fighttoxins.com/healthybaby. It takes 2 seconds to do...so please take a moment to sign and let's protect our kids from toxins.

Everyone also received a packet full of samples, coupons, and information. It was a fun time and a great way to inform everyone about how keeping toxins out of your home.

Yes...I Am Pregnant...and Many More Answers to Your Questions!

A few days ago I announced my pregnancy and since then I have received a lot of questions about my pregnancy. So I thought I would just answer all of them here so I didn't have to keep repeating all my answers.

So first off....yes, I am pregnant. That is the reason I have posted so few and far between the past few months.

Question: How has your pregnancy been?
Answer: ROUGH!!! This has been the hardest pregnancy I have ever been through. First of all, I have had horrible morning sickness...some days I couldn't keep anything down. Every day I would be sick about 80% of the day. I am finally starting to feel a little better since I am just about in my 2nd trimester.

I have also had 2 scares with this pregnancy where I almost lost the baby and at 9 weeks I was in the ER and we discovered I had a subchorionic hemorrage. I ended up on bed rest for almost 3 weeks. It was very hard and scary, but I have been released off bed rest now and I am feeling much better.

Question: How far along are you?
Answer: I am 12 1/2 weeks, I will be 13 weeks in 2 days.

Question: Were you planning on having another baby?
Answer: Okay, kind of a personal question, but that's okay. No, we were not trying....yes, this was a surprise! We are very excited though. After trying for 2 years with Noah, a surprise pregnancy is definitely better than trying so hard for so long.

Question: When are you due?
Answer: I am due on October 29th which is my birthday!

We are very excited about this new little baby. It's been a very rough 12 weeks so far but I'm hoping the 2nd trimester will be a lot better. We can't wait to find out what we are having. This will be our last baby, so getting a girl would be wonderful, but we will be happy with a boy as well....so we will see what happens! Excited to take you all on this fun journey.

Learning Resources Smart Snacks Rainbow Color Cones Review & Giveaway

**I received the product featured below free of charge in order to do an honest review. My thoughts are 100% my own.**

Noah turned 2 last week and I feel like it's even more important now to be working with him on basics such as colors, letters, numbers, etc. I love toys that are not only educational but a lot of fun. So when I saw the Learning Resources Smart Snacks Rainbow Color Cones, I knew they were perfect for us!

The Rainbow Color Cones come with 10 ice cream cones in a rainbow of colors and 2 cones. It's a delicious way to develop color identification, stacking skills, and hand-eye coordination.
My boys love playing with these fun cones and it's been such a great way to work on colors with Noah. It's also great to help develop Noah's hand-eye coordination since it does take a little bit of work to stack the ice cream on top of each other so that it doesn't fall off.

It's also great for pretend play and role play. My boys love making their ice cream cones and then pretend eating it!

The Smart Snacks Rainbow Color Cones is fun ice cream play that lasts all day...and never melts! It's recommended for 2+ and is priced at $19.99 (although right now it's on sale for $14.99, not sure how long that will last so I recommend you hurry and order now). We would highly recommend it!

Be sure to stay connected and follow Learning Resources on FacebookTwitterPinterestInstagram, and YouTube.

WIN IT: One LUCKY U.S. winner will receive their own Smart Snacks Rainbow Color Cones (ARV $19.99).

The Happy's Playdate MommyParty #TheHappys

**I received free products in order to host the Cedia, LLC sponsored MommyParty. The opinions expressed here are my own.**

Have you heard of The Happy's? The Happy's are the newest sensation from Cepia (the makers of ZhuZhu Pets) and they are the most adorable and remarkably real new line of interactive motorized plush pets. From doing tricks for Happy Treats to racing after their Chase & Play ball, The Happy's really interact and play with you! This is great for boys and girls and kids can even train The Happy's to do more tricks with the interactive Happy Treats.

I was thrilled when I was picked through MomSelect MommyParties to host The Happy's Playdate MommyParty. These toys are great for kids, so we decided to have the playdate at Noah's birthday party....what a great way to celebrate his fun day! We were sent 4 different The Happy's pets as well as The Happy's Chase and Play Ball. We were also sent some other fun goodies to make our playdate special.

Before our guests arrived, we opened up The Happy's and put batteries in The Happy's Pets (each requre 2 AAA batteries) and the Chase & Play Ball (requires 3 AAA batteries).

Once our guests arrived, we started off by having everyone make their own animal ears. The kids (and parents) did such a great job! The kids loved them and even started pretending to be animals.

Then we got the party started by putting out The Happy's. The kids loved them and had so much fun interacting with the pets.

We of course had some snacks for our guests...playing gets you hungry!

It was a lot of fun and everyone LOVED The Happy's! My kids keep pulling them out to play with them each day. They are so fun and absolutely adorable. The Happy's will be available this spring at Toys 'R Us, Wal-Mart, Target, Justice, and Radio Shack.
