WAT-AAH! Challenge Review & Giveaway
As of May 2008, the Centers for Disease Control states that 15% of kids and teens are overweight (almost 9 million) and another 19% are considered at risk for becoming overweight. It is believed that sugary drinks are partially responsible for increasing obesity rates in America's youth. Now there is a new line of water that aims to help combat childhood and teen obesity epidemic by offering the first healthy drink alternative with attitude, not sugar. That new line of water is called WAT-AAH!
I decided to participate in WAT-AHH's Holiday Challenge. What you had to do was to put WAT-AHH! in the fridge next to soda and capture what your child chooses. Well, we never have soda in our house because (thanks to relatives) Tobin has discovered soda and loves it! He goes crazy for it, which is partly why we never have it. So, in order to do this challenge I went and bought a bottle of soda. I honestly thought he would choose the soda, just because he knows what that is and we never have it. We were given 4 bottles of WAT-AHH! (one bottle of each flavor) so I tried it the challenge on four different days. Here are 2 videos of the first two days of the challenge:
I decided not to upload day 3 and 4's videos because they were the exact same. Every time he wanted WAT-AHH! I was shocked! Even after he tasted it, which I also tasted and it just tastes like water, he still wanted it. He loved it! I am so impressed!
WAT-AHH! is 100% free of artifical flavors, artificial colors, additives, and sugars. There are four products:
- WAT-AAH! Bones - Ultra pure water with magnesium to help bone growth and no sugar
- WAT-AAH! Brain - Ultra-pure water with added electrolytes and no sugar
- WAT-AAH! Energy - Ultra-pure water with oxygen for increased energy and no sugar
- WAT-AHH! Body - Super Clean Spring Water with no sugar
BUY IT: You can buy a 12 pack of WAT-AHH! for $12 on Amazon.com.GIVEAWAY: Thanks to WAT-AHH! they are giving away a mixed case of WAT-AHH! and WAT-AHH! goodies (such as pencils, erasers, stickers, etc.) to one of my LUCKY readers!
MANDATORY: Go to WAT-AHH! and tell me one thing you learned.

LIP CLEAR Lysine Update!

I had written a review on LIP CLEAR Lysine update about a month ago, but I hadn't been able to give a complete review since no one in my family had a cold sore at the time.
Well, since then my husband has had a cold sore and he used LIP CLEAR Lysine for it. He was amazed because it completely cleared up his cold sore and didn't take too long either. The other day he felt another cold sore coming on and he quickly started using LIP CLEAR and the cold sore never broke through. My husband is now a big believer of LIP CLEAR Lysine.
**This was just an update. I was not compensated in any way beyond the original sample I received to try the product.**

Last Minute Cheap Gift Ideas!
Kids-
-Dollar stores! Dollars stores have sure changed since I was younger. They actually have nice things. You can make a fun little goody basket of crayons, coloring books, stickers, etc. They even have some nice books.
-Craft and easy recipe cookbook-I have found lots of fun little kid recipes that are simple food recipes or fun craft recipes such as silly putty, play-doh, bubbles, etc. You can find most of these online and just type them up and bound them cutely. You could even make an apron to go with it!
-Art Kits- I have made this LOTS of times, but I usually plan ahead and get all the items during the back to school sales where you can get crayons for like .15 and markers for 2/$1. If you don't have these items on hand...the dollar store is a great place to go! So, you just throw in some markers, colored pencils, crayons, construction paper, stickers, glue sticks, etc and put them in a plastic container. Then I usually get puffy paint and write their names on it.
Adults-
Okay most of my gift ideas are for women...I don't really have any ideas for men (I swear they are the hardest people to shop for). So for men, my suggestion is just by them a $5 movie or a gift certificate (like a $5 subway card)...or anything to do food! Buy them a candy bar and they will be happy...well, most of them will anyways!
-Gift Baskets- I love to receive gift baskets and you can make really inexpensive gift baskets. You could get items for a spaghetti dinner such as the noodles, sauce, bread sticks, and some sort of boxed dessert or make a dessert or just throw in some dessert mints. You could add a bottle of sparkling cider or soda and it's perfect!
Another gift basket idea is to go to the dollar store again (can you tell that I'm a fan of the dollar store...and I promise I am in no way an affiliate with them) and purchase bubble bath, lotion, bath salts, etc and put them in a basket.
-Goody Baskets- I love desserts and baked goods...so if you are a good cook (and note that I said "good") then this would make a wonderful gift! Put all of your best treats in a basket or container. I love receiving fudge and such from others...mostly because I can't make it!
Another idea is to make gift certificates for things like free babysitting and free meals. I would love it if someone told me that for my Christmas gift that they would come over and watch my son for a certain amount of time so that I could clean and blog and just get things done! I would also love it if someone said that for my gift they would provide me and my family dinner for one night...do you know how awesome that would be!
Grandparents-
I love that now that I have Tobin, giving gifts to my parents and my husband's parents are so easy! Just slap his picture on anything or put his hand prints on anything and they go crazy for it! This year we are giving out photo calendars and last year we just gave them pictures. So, if you have a child...let your child make them something...I promise you they will love anything from your child!
For Anyone-
Household items and anything you can use daily! The first Christmas my husband and I had after we were married, my brother's gave us a year supply of toilet paper. That was honestly the best gift we got! My Mom and Dad also gave us an awesome present of a big box of food...mostly pantry items such as flour, sugar, spices, etc. They even wrapped everything individually, it was fun to unwrap and really helped us out! My Mom always says she loves the things she can actually use...so this year she gave out paper towels with a cute little saying to all her neighbors.
Hope these help with your last minute gifts! If any of you have some last minute (inexpensive) gift ideas, please feel free to share! Happy Holidays everyone!
America's Cutest Last-Minute Tax Deduction Contest

I love babies and I have noticed that there are a lot of new babies being born this December! I remember having Tobin and being so thrilled at having my very own little bundle of joy. Once I received the hospital bill, discovered how much diapers cost, and realized how expensive bringing a new baby into the world is...it was a little overwhelming (okay, a lot overwhelming). Thanks to MomSelect, I found out about a great contest that can help one family lighten their financial burden. Thanks to TurboTax® one "last minute" baby can help their family save a bundle!

Wen Cleansing Conditioner
I recently had the opportunity to review Wen ® Cleansing Conditioner by Chaz Dean, which was recently awarded the coveted Shecky's "Beauty at Its Best" Award for Best Shampoo and Conditioner.
Wen is made from natural ingredients and does not contain any harmful detergents that could strip your hair of its natural oils. I received the Sweet Almond Mint conditioner and I used it for a week and then had my sister and Mom review it as well.
I love using the conditioner. It reminds me of being at a spa. The minty smell invigorates me and since you are supposed to wait several minutes before you rinse it out, I just stood there breathing in the wonderful minty smell! So, its perfect for us Moms who never have time to go to the spa! My scalp also felt cool and tingly...it was a wonderful and relaxing experience. I would buy the conditioner just for the experience! The product also has some wonderful benefits, such as:
- Adds moisture, body, and shine.
- Works great on straight, wavy, curly, and ethnic hair.
- Leaes hair soft, manageable, and touchable.
- Can be sued before and after any checmical treatment or when hair has been stressed.
- Strengthening action that repairs damage, renews elasticity and reduces chemical stress of dry, extremely damaged hair.
I love the conditioner, but because my hair is really fine (and really weird...it has a mind of it's own) it didn't have very much body after using the conditioner. My hair did feel smooth, silky, and smelled fantastic! However, I don't have time to take showers every day, so I usually just take them every other day, and with this conditioner my hair needed to be washed every day. Since my hair is a bit different from most people's hair, I had my Mom and sister review the conditioner as well. They have normal hair and they both enjoyed it. They both said that they thought it left their hair softer and silkier than their normal conditioner.
I really enjoy this conditioner and I am trying a few things so that I can use this conditioner and still have volume! I would highly recommend this product, especially if you are like me and need your own personal "spa" time!
For more details and further information on this product, please check out Wen's site.

Christmas is Coming...Are You Ready?
So do you have all your gifts bought and wrapped? I am so grateful for blog giveaways, because that's how we are able to have Christmas this year (and not be stressed out)! The economy is finally hitting my husband's job and a lot of our bills (like mortgage and HOA) have been raised, so money is starting to be very tight. Thanks to all the wonderful companies and bloggers that have hosted giveaways...and especially the ones that I won on! =) Because of all my winnings we didn't have to spend hardly any money on Christmas! Tobin has tons of gifts sitting under the tree and the only thing we bought was a pair of pajamas (and they were only $9). We also have 25 people to shop for and we were able to give everyone gifts that I had won...except for 2 people, but thanks to gift cards and such, we only ended up spending $11! My husband just wants pants (expensive pants) for Christmas (he is getting more...he just doesn't know because their all things I won) so we will be forking over some dough for those! Other than that (and possibly a dog), we haven't really spent any money on Christmas! We usually spend a good thousand (usually more) on Christmas, so I am so glad we were able to be frugal this year!
Tomorrow we have our first "Christmas" celebration. My husband's parents are divorced, so his Mom had always celebrated Christmas with her kids on the night before Christmas and their Christmas was actually on Christmas Eve morning. Since I started dating my husband...11 years ago, I have been going to their "Christmas". Now it always happens the weekend before Christmas rather than Christmas Eve. So tomorrow we head to my Husband's Mom's house so Tobin can make cookies with Nana and his cousins (it's his mom's tradition). This will be Tobin's first time participating since last year he was only 6 months old. I'm hoping I can work his nap around it so he can go. Then we go out to eat with all of his Mom's side of the family and head back to his Grandma's to exchange gifts. Then we spend the night at his Mom's house and have "Christmas" bright and early on Saturday morning. Then we go to my husband's Stepdad's Christmas party. So, it's going to be a very busy weekend! It will be interesting with a toddler. Last year, Tobin was so little that he could still sleep anywhere...not the case this year!
I have been reminiscing Tobin's first Christmas tonight. It was so much easier to wrap presents and get things done...but this year is definitely more fun! I thought he was fun last year because he was really into opening presents and loved getting new toys...but this year he has already been oohing and ahhing over gifts and christmas lights and everything else! I have also been able to do activities with him this year! Since I'm reminiscing, I thought I would let you reminisce with me by looking at some pics from last year!

Thanks for reminiscing with me! What are some of your family traditions? My family always goes out to eat on Christmas Eve...growing up we hardly ever went out to eat (I'm the oldest of 6 kids, so you can see why we never went out to eat) so this was always a very special treat for us! We still look forward to this tradition. Do you have any traditions that you started (or plan to start) with your kids? I started a tradition that I buy a Christmas book for the family and on Christmas Eve our kids (just Tobin for right now) gets to open it and we read it as a family! I also plan to buy each of my kids a nice book for Christmas and their birthdays. So what are some of your family traditions (new or old)?

Holiday Gift Guide #18 Kidorable Review and Giveaway

Last year I never really worried about the rain because Tobin was still in his baby carrier whenever we went anywhere and I had a rain cover for it so I never had to worry about him. Now I don't have that option and we have had to take several trips out in the rain and I hate seeing him wet and cold because I didn't have anything that kept him nice and dry. I also want him to look cute, but all the raincoats I've seen aren't that cute. Well, now your kids can stay warm and dry and look adorable, or should I say "Kidorable"!
About Kidorable:
Kidorable delights both children and the adults who love them by transforming everyday, functional kids accessories into objects that excite their imaginations and enrich their lives at play.
From rainwear to backpacks to knitwear and towels, Kidorable speaks to the precious spirit of childhood.
Kidorable has the most adorable line of Children's outer wear! They carry all sorts of things such as raincoats, umbrellas, rain boots, scarfs, gloves, towels, hats, and even backpacks! They are so stylish and cute that even Celebrities' Children are wearing them such as Suri Cruise!
I love the ease and organization of Kidorable's website. You can search for products by Product line or by style. So if you were looking for just ladybug styles, you can find all the lady bug products they have available. If you want to just search for an umbrella, you can easily find all the umbrellas they have available.
We had the opportunity to review the Fireman Umbrella, Raincoat, and Rain Boots. They are so adorable! I was very impressed with the material, it's not cheap and flimsy, it's very sturdy and will last a long time as well as keep Tobin nice and dry! Tobin LOVES his umbrella! I like how it's the perfect height and weight for him...he can hold it all on his own.
Tobin was upset in this picture, because I made him hold still so I could take a picture. He wanted to run around in his new boots in jacket.
Tobin loves twirling around with his new umbrella!
Aren't these boots adorable?! They are so cute and made of really sturdy material so it will keep his feet nice and dry!
This Pirate Back Pack would look adorable on Tobin!
This Dinosaur Towel is too cute! GIVEAWAY: Kidorable has generously offered one of my LUCKY readers an umbrella of their choice.

Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies Review & Giveaway
Did you know that in 2009 the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) significantly increased the recommended daily fiber intake for children? The now updated guidelines recommends 25 grams of fiber per day for four-year-old children. If you have children you know how tough it can be to make sure your children get their daily recommended intake of vitamins, calcium, fiber, etc. I know a lot of children do not like fiber enriched vegetables and brown bread. Plus, with the holidays around the corner it's even harder to do so with our busy and hectic schedules. Well, now there is a yummy solution, Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies.
Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies are a delicious daily fiber supplement for children ages 2-11 which will help them maintain better digestive health and stay regular.* The gummies are penguin shaped which makes it fun to eat and they are also sugar-free, calorie-free, gluten-free, made with natural fruit flavors, and are great tasting! The recommended serving is 3 gummies every day which is equal to 1/2 cup of broccoli! I don't know about you, but it seems a lot easier to get kids to eat 3 gummies vs. 1/2 cup of broccoli every day! Another plus about Fiber Gummies is that it is dentist approved! This is a great solution to help bridge the gap between the American Academy of Pediatrics recommended amount of fiber and the fiber that kids actually consumed in their daily diet.
* This statement has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
BUY IT: The suggested retail price is $7.99 for a bottle of 60 gummies and they can be found at Target, Walgreens, online, and also at other retailers nationwide. You can visit www.fibergummies.com where you can get a $1.00 off coupon as well as use the "store locator" to find a store near you that sells the product. The website also has great tips for meal planning and easy to make recipes so that you can incorporate a high-fiber diet in your busy family's schedule!
GIVEAWAY: Thanks to Laura at Robin Leedy & Associates Inc., I have one bottle of Pedia-Lax Gummies (which contains 60 gummies) for one of my LUCKY readers!
MANDATORY: Tell me why you want to win!

MomSelect Holiday Pak Review
Recently we received a Holiday Product Pak from MomSelect. Tobin and I had so much fun discovering what was inside the Pak! Inside the package we found a bunch of great products! Here is what we found:
BOZ, The Green Bear Next Door DVDs: The newest preschool program DVD that incorporates early educational concepts and Christian beliefs is BOZ! BOZ, the green bear next door, loves exploring God's world and discovering exciting new things with his friends Drew and Gracie, their family, and all their friends in the neighborhood. I had never heard of Boz before, so I had no idea what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised! Tobin loved them! We received the Bananas, Bubbles, and Busy Bodies DVD (which came with a Boz toothbrush) and A WowieBOZowee Christmas DVD.
Tobin LOVES the Christmas DVD and the toothbrush, but he doesn't really care for the other DVD. We have watched the Christmas movie many times since we received it and I am surprised that I am not sick of it yet. I'm also surprised that each time we watch it, Tobin will watch the whole thing, and it's a 45 minute movie. He never watches a show for that long! This is a great Christmas movie that has fun Christmas songs, a special retelling of the Christmas story, and it teaches you that the best presents come from your heart...not a store! I would highly recommend these DVD's!
Holly and Hal Moose from Build-A-Bear Workshop: Tobin was so excited to discover the Holly and Hal Moose from Build-A-Bear. These plush stuffed animals were completely decked out in jeans, boots and their signature jackets. Hal's antlers light up which was a fun discovery! They are both adorable and very soft and cuddly! We also received the Holly and Hal Uplifting Christmas Book. This is a cute hardbound book that is actually a chapter book. It is a bit long for young children, so you will probably want to read only a few chapters at a time. It's a fun story and what a great gift to go along with the Holly and Hal stuffed animals!
Playmobile Advent Calendar "Knights Duelz": Tobin was really excited to discover the Playmobile Advent Calendar. I thought it was really cute, until I opened it and discovered all the many pieces! Then I read on the box that it took about 20 minutes to setup and I decided not to even set it up. Fortunately, my husband was not as easily discouraged and he excitedly set it up. It really didn't take quite as long as I thought it would and it was actually fun to put it together. I now think it's way cute and what a fun way to countdown to Christmas. Since this is a "knight" theme and doesn't really have a Christmas "theme", it would be a great way to countdown to any event, such a birthday or vacation! They do have many more advent calendars to choose from, and there are advent calendars that do have a Christmas "theme".
Temple Touch Thermometer: The Mini Temple Touch Thermometer is a great thermometer that takes quick and accurate temperatures by holding it against your little one's temple. The temple is a great place to take your little one's temperature because it is an accurate and easy place to take your child's temperature whether they're awake or asleep. The Temple Touch Thermometer is very affordable. It is currently sold at Wal-Mart stores nationwide under the ReliOn brand for only $9.94.
California Olive Ranch Olive Oil: This olive oil comes beautifully packaged and it is a very high quality olive oil. I enjoyed cooking with it and found that I liked it a lot better than my regular olive oil (I usually just buy the cheapest) and it turns out there is a difference. This olive oil seemed to have a touch of flavor and added a little something to the meal. You can pick up your own California Olive Ranch Extra Virgin Olive Oil at your local grocery store!
Sun Detergent: I received a coupon for FREE Sun Detergent. I had never tried Sun Detergent before so I was very interested in giving it a chance. I found that I really liked it. Mommy Brain?
-Made Tuna Casserole....forgot the tuna!
-Went to take pan out of oven...forgot oven mitt (ouch)!
-Ran the dishwasher...didn't put any soap in it.
-Did the same thing with laundry...ran a load and didn't put any soap in it.
-Ran the dryer and when it finished I went to get the laundry...and there was nothing in there! I had finished the laundry the night before!
-Put Tobin's shoes on the wrong feet...didn't figure it out until about an hour later after trying to figure out why he didn't want to walk very much in them!
-Made many, many, many trips up and down the stairs to get something I forgot...and of course there were many times I got up there and forgot what I was there for and then remember after I was already back downstairs!
-Found potatoes (actual raw potatoes that hadn't been peeled or cooked) stacked on Tobin's highchair....okay, this one I'm pretty sure was Tobin, but the way I have been lately I wouldn't be surprised if it was me! LOL!
These are just the ones I can remember...and as you can see, my memory isn't that great right now! I'm hoping all of these occurrences are just because I have been very tired and haven't got a lot of sleep lately. Or maybe there really is such things as "Mommy Brain"?
Have you ever had a "Mommy Brain" experience? Do you think it's true? Please share with me...and make me feel better! =)

Is Your Child Sneezing, Coughing, Have a Runny Nose? Then Please Keep Them Home!!!
Our church has told everyone many times, do not come to church if you are ill and please leave sick children at home. Well, Sunday Tobin went to nursery and there wasn't just one sick child...there was 3! One little girl was hacking up a lung, while the other 2 kept dripping snot and coughing! All 3 looked sick. I don't care if you missed the week before, keep them home or at least take them with you to your adult class...please don't leave them in a room with 12 other children who all play with the same toys! I missed a whole month of church because Tobin was sick! Be courteous and do the same!
I tried my hardest to keep Tobin away from the sick ones and to keep washing his hands, but it didn't work. Tobin slept horribly last night and this morning I figured out why...he's sick! Now he has a fever and a horrible runny nose! He is miserable!
Sorry for the rant, but I needed to vent my frustrations! Does it bother you when people bring their sick kids to your home or to a place where your child is playing?

Holiday Gift Guide #15 Story Time Felts Review & Giveaway

I am a big fan of quiet books and I grew up with quiet books as well as paper dolls and things made out of felt. So, I was very intrigued when I heard about a great online company that has lots of storyboards and activities called Story Time Felts. So, when I saw an opportunity to review one of their toddler quiet books, I jumped at the chance!
I was sent the "Can Do" Toddler Quiet Book. I was very impressed with the quiet book. It has 8 sturdy felt pages measuring 9" x 11". Each page has a different adventure such as dressing an elephant according to the weather, match up car puzzle pieces, help the clown sort his balloons, explore cupboards and a refrigerator, and so much more! In between each page is a pocket for the felt pieces. Tobin's favorite page is the telephone page where you can answer the telephone and match up the numbers. He loves to sit and talk on the "telephone" and match up the numbers while he talks. Tobin is a big fan of puzzles and matching, so this was the perfect book for him.
We took it to church and I loved that it entertained Tobin the whole time. Usually I have to take many books and activities with us and we usually run out. We didn't even finish the book by the time the meeting was over! This is the perfect product to take to church, on a road trip, or just to have at home. The quiet book is very sturdy and full of fun activities. The only thing I would change is I wish it had velcro to keep the pockets between the pages closed. I found that as Tobin carried it around the house with him he dropped a lot of pieces. Still, that's an easy fix, you can just add velcro your self, which is something I will be doing!Story Time Felts has so many products..and I love them all! I could seriously spend a LOT of money on their site! I want everything! They have felt story boards and you can choose from so many different stories! They have not only have the classic stories and fairy tales, but they also have contemporary stories such as Good Night Moon, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and even The Polar Express! There are so many to choose from that you could find a special story for every child in your life!

Another fun activity that I like are the felt Weather Teddy Bears Felt Dress-Up and the Dress-Up Felt Paper Dolls. They are much better than paper because the clothes actually stick on and you don't have to worry about your child ripping them.

They also have advent calendars and holiday story boards which is perfect for this time of year. These products promote imagination and are also a great tool for teaching. There are so many products to choose from which is why Story Time Felts would make a great gift for anyone in your life!
BUY IT: You can purchase fun felt products online. You can also earn free products by hosting a fun felt party, you can find more information about that on their website.
GIVEAWAY: Story Time Felts has offered one of my LUCKY readers a $25 Gift Certificate to Story Time Felts.
MANDATORY: Go to Story Time Felts and let me know what you would buy with the $25 Gift Certificate if you were to win. **Open to US ONLY**
EXTRA ENTRIES:
