This Little Piggy's House Cardboard Playhouse Review & Giveaway

Back in November I had a really awesome win from Born 2 Impress's blog! I won an adorable cardboard playhouse from This Little Piggy's House Cardboard Playhouse! I decided that "Santa" would give it to Tobin for Christmas. I chose the white cardboard playhouse and I decided to have my brother's (who are both great artists) to paint the house. When they opened the house and started to put it together, they were really impressed! This house had rafters, a chimney, shutters, and even a mailbox!

When my brother's finished it and once we put it together on Christmas Eve...I was blown away! First of all, I was just so impressed with the house itself. The house was very easy to put together and it wasn't just a cardboard box with holes cut out of it, this was a very well constructed house. It is adorable and just the perfect size for Tobin. My brother's did an amazing job and I keep forgetting the house is made out of cardboard!
Tobin fell in love with his house the minute he saw it! We couldn't get him to open the rest of his presents because he didn't want to leave his house. He came out for a moment to gather all of his candy...and then stuff it in his mailbox and go back in the house! He LOVES his house! Every morning once we come downstairs for breakfast, he goes straight to his house and spends a few moments by himself in there. I never realized that just like me, Tobin needs his own space. Now he has it! He goes into his house many times during the day and I think he loves the fact that I can't fit into his house, so nobody goes in there! I think every child needs their own little place of their own!
The downsides of the house are the fact that it is indeed cardboard. By the end of Christmas day, the door was already bent and Tobin discovered he could push the roof off the house. These were easily fixed and I suggest you do these things before you give it to your little one:

• Tape or glue the roof to the house.
• Cut a piece of sturdy cardboard and glue it to the back of the door so that way it makes the door even more stable.
• Put the house on a flat surface, like hardwood floors or tile (we had it on our rug, so that was a mistake)...or if that's not possible, shave an inch or so off the bottom of the door so it doesn't snag the carpet each time it is opened.

Once we did these 3 things, the door is now very stable and doesn't bend and Tobin can't pop the roof off! Now I know this house will last for a very long time!

I highly recommend this house to anyone with small children. After seeing Tobin playing with this and how happy he is, I would pay anything for this little house! If it ever gets ruined, you can be sure I will be replacing it!
