Valentine's Day Event: Hasbro Games Review & Giveaway **CLOSED**

I grew up playing games with my family and since my parents have 6 kids they found it was cheaper to buy games as entertainment rather than take us all to a movie or some other event. So, now my family has a huge collection of games and we still get together often to play games. The majority of our games (and some of our favorites) are Hasbro games.

Hasbro has a large variety of games to choose from. They have games that my parents grew up playing with, such as Rook; classic games, such as The Game of Life; and new games like Cosmic Keep Away.

I had the wonderful opportunity to review 4 great games: Monopoly Championship, Pictureka, SCRABBLE Slam card game, and MONOPOLY DEAL card game. We decided to invite my parents over to play these games with us since they are practically game experts from all their many years of playing games!

MONOPOLY Championship:

I have never been a  big fan of Monopoly, the game always lasted way too long for me and I never won. MONOPOLY Championship is a lot like MONOPOLY, but there are a few differences that I think make this a great game. First of all, there's a speed dice that makes the game go so quickly. I found that the game was much shorter because of this dice. The dice has different characters on it that can give you a great advantage. My favorite feature of the speed dice is the Monopoly Character which means you can advance to the next available property that you can purchase. This really helped me out with gaining a lot of properties. The other difference about this game is that the winner gets a Monopoly Championship Trophy! This game was a lot of fun and if you are a fan of Monopoly (or your like me and don't mind the game, but want a shorter version of it) then you will love this game!

Pictureka:

I had never played or heard anything about Pictureka before so I didn't know what to expect, but once I opened the box and read the rules (which are very short and simple) I was very excited to play. The game is simple where you have to find pictures on the game board, but it's also a challenge since you have just a short amount of time to find them in. This is a great family game. The recommended age is 6+ but I think depending on the child a 4 or 5 year old could probably play too (maybe they could team up with an adult). You could also play with a big group and play on teams. This game was a lot of fun and we will be playing it often!

SCRABBLE Slam:

I love scrabble and any kind of word games so I was really excited to play SCRABBLE SLAM. To start, someone chooses a four letter word and then you spell that out with cards and then deal out the rest of the cards. The object of the game is to get rid of all your cards by putting one letter down at a time to change the word. This game was a lot of fun and really kept you thinking of ways you could change the word. I loved this game, but my husband did not like it because he doesn't like spelling games (probably because he can't really spell). So, if you are a big fan of spelling games, then you will love this game!

MONOPOLY DEAL:

I thought MONOPOLY DEAL was a much simpler game of Monopoly. The object of the game is to collect 3 property sets, but there are a lot of cards where someone can steal your properties and stop you from achieving your goal. This game is fast paced and a lot of fun! This is my Dad's and Husband's favorite game now and it's one of my new faves too! I would highly recommend this game to anyone!
