Birthday Bash: K'NEX Review & HUGE Giveaway **CLOSED**

When we were younger, my brother's got a big set of K'NEX one year and we spent many years playing with it. So, when I was looking for some new toys for Tobin, K'NEX was one of the products I was most interested in. I was amazed to see how many new products K'NEX has and I was so excited to see that they had a preschool line. I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to review a variety of K'NEX products.

We got to review 3 of the Sesame Street Building Sets which is perfect for ages 2+ and retails for $12.99 each:

Kick It! Elmo:

Your child can build Sesame Street 's coolest red monster, Elmo, gearing up to kick his soccer ball! This 13 piece set includes parts to build Elmo in his uniform and ready to hit the field with his soccer ball. Swim Time Ernie:

The sets comes in adorable canisters that are easy to open and close. The K'NEX parts are big enough for little hands to work with yet they still help your child work on their fine motor skills. The canisters themselves are like toys, Tobin especially loves the Elmo one and carries it around the house.

 I had my niece and nephew (ages 3 and 5) try these out with Tobin. They had a lot of fun with them and my 5 year old nephew could put the sets together without help.

I love how these sets allow Tobin to be creative and he loves to build them. I like how each container comes with a sheet that has ideas for parents to interact with their child, such as questions you can ask your child and activity ideas. These sets are great for your child to play alone as well as a great way for parents and children to interact together. I highly recommend the Sesame Street Building Sets.

Since Tobin is a little too young for this series, I decided to let my 5 year old nephew try these out. I took them to a family event and I had to laugh when my brothers and brother-in-law got so excited over these! So instead of my nephew and Tobin just playing with them, we ended up with a room full of over 20 year old boys playing with them too! So this is not just for little kids and I definitely know what I'm getting all of them for Christmas now!

The parts are small and were kind of hard for my nephew to figure out how to build the models, so he did need help, but this would be a great toy for a Dad and young son to work on together (this would be a great Father's Day present). Once the sets were put together though, my nephew was so proud of himself that he didn't care that he needed help!

K'NEX are great toys for all ages and apparently you're never too old to play with them! There are now so many different sets and products that there really is something for everyone and every interest. These would make great gifts for birthdays, Christmas, Father's Day, or "just because" gifts!
