Nature Valley National Parks Project Giveaway **CLOSED**

Some of my fondest vacation memories from growing up was visiting the National Parks. We love the outdoors and I think National Parks are so special and something everyone should see. So, when MyBlogSpark invited me to promote the Nature Valley National Parks Project, I was thrilled.

Since the dedication of Yellowstone as the world’s first national park in 1872, America’s parks have been visited by hundreds of millions of people who marveled at their beauty, found peace in their wildness and shared their experience with others. However, these national treasures need care and support to help them flourish. Years of underfunding and environmental problems such as pollution and climate change are threatening our National Park system.

Nature Valley has teamed up with esteemed travel author Patricia Shultz (author of 1,000 Places to See Before You Die) to help restore our National Parks. This year, the National Parks Project will focus on restorative work at Grand Canyon, Yellowstone and Biscayne National Parks.

To get involved and help support the National Parks Project, simply purchase a box of specially marked Nature Valley Bars and mail in your wrappers to the address below:

For each wrapper received, Nature Valley will donate $0.10 to the National Parks Conservation Association (up to $600,000) and they will recycle the wrappers for you!

The book is awesome and I am happy to say I have actually been to some of the places mentioned, but I still have many more to visit...so hopefully I will be living for a long time! The Nature Valley Granola Bars are delicious and are the perfect food to take hiking (or be like me and eat them on the run). The compass is actually a High Sierra compass, so I know it is an awesome compass. The backpack is big enough to fit everything inside, yet small enough to make sure you pack light! The flashlight and water bottle are also perfect for being outdoors!
 
There are many other ways you can enjoy the natural beauty and diverse wildlife of our national parks this summer while supporting the cause. The easiest thing you can do to support the national parks is to experience them for yourself and share them with your family – remembering as always to “take only pictures and leave your footprints.” So grab your backpack, your boots and some granola bars and go soak in the scenery.
