We were sent some of Beecher's Flagship Handmade Cheese, Marco Polo Cheese, Beecher's Honey Hazelnut Crackers, and Smoky Roasted Vegetable Cavatappi to review.
About the Beecher's Flagship Handmade Cheese (from their website)
The first wheel of Flagship, Beecher’s signature cheese, was handcrafted just as Beecher’s Handmade Cheese opened its doors in Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market in November of 2003. Flagship is a semi-hard cow’s milk cheese with a uniquely robust, nutty flavor. It is carefully aged for 15 months under the watchful eye of the cheesemaker to fully develop its complex flavor and ever-so-slight crumble. Outstanding on a Beecher’s Cracker! This was our favorite cheese! It was so delicious and was a mild flavor. We loved it plain, with crackers, and even mixed into some of our favorite dishes (such as handmade macaroni & cheese). Tobin especially loved this cheese!
This favorite from Beecher’s fleet of artisan cheeses celebrates the great thirteenth century adventurer Marco Polo – credited with bringing pepper and other discoveries to Europe. Beecher’s Marco Polo takes lightly milled green and black Madagascar peppercorns and blends them with our creamy cheese. The result is cheese with bite and texture, sophisticated yet approachable. This cheese was a stronger cheese than we are used to and did not taste great eating it plain. The website suggests putting it on a burger or in a baked potato. We tried grilling it on a hamburger and it tasted pretty good.
About the Beecher's Honey Hazelnut Crackers (from their website)
The same satisfying crunch as Beecher’s Original Crackers with the subtle flavor of roasted hazelnuts and a hint of sweetness from local honey. The perfect partner to a bite of Beecher’s Flagship cheese. Pure, all-natural ingredients. No hydrogenated oils. These crackers were the perfect crackers to pair with the cheese. They have a nutty sweetness but aren't too sweet or salty.
The "smoke" in our Smoky Roasted Vegetable Cavatappi comes from our award-winning Smoked Flagship cheese, which is naturally smoked over apple and cherry hardwood. The smoky flavor is well matched to a delicious medley of roasted vegetables, curly cavatappi pasta and a rich marinara-infused cheese sauce. This tasted so delicious! It's a wonderful, rich pasta dish filled with vegetables and delicious cheese. We had it for dinner one night and it made a great meal that we all loved!
I loved the products that we reviewed and I can't wait to try out more. They have great gift collections as well. So be sure to check out Beecher's Cheese.
