Happy New Years!
Happy New Years everyone! I hope all of you had a safe and happy New Years. We celebrated the New Year by having some friends over on New Year's Eve and having a small party. My friend and I made a delicious meal complete with Turkey, mashed potatoes & gravy, stuffing, homemade rolls, and homemade root beer! Tobin was amazed with the homemade root beer and thought it was so cool how it was smoking!
It was a lot of fun and everyone stayed up to see the ball drop...except for Tobin! He ended up falling asleep about 15 minutes before midnight. This was the first year he wasn't awake at midnight on New Year's Eve! It was nice to be able to stay home and ring in 2012 with close friends. I hope everyone had a great New Years and I am looking forward to all that is to come in 2012!

When I saw the trifle, I immediately thought of the Friends episode where Rachel makes the English Trifle for Thanksgiving! LOL - That's one of my favorite episodes! I'm sure yours tasted much better!
I thought the same thing as Tara!!! I'm so glad your trifle didn't have the beef sauteed with peas and onions..or whatever it was. :-)
I have never seen root beer homemade before either--that was really cool!
I didn't even attempt to stay up!
