My First Night Alone in Almost 4 Years

Last night I actually got to go to bed whenever I wanted to, didn't have to brush anyone's teeth except my own, didn't have to change any diapers, and was not woken up once by crying or someone calling "Mommy". Why? I am in Phoenix right now and Tobin and my husband are back in Utah. For the first time since Tobin was born, I have left Tobin overnight. I am visiting a friend here for a few days and will be flying back this weekend. Since I am now just months away from giving birth, I figured I better do this now or it will probably be another 4 years before I did. This is definitely a much needed break, but definitely hard for me to do. Tobin is doing great though! I knew mornings would be the hardest for him since I am always there in the mornings for him, so I had wrapped small little gifts that he could open each morning. He is loving that!

In the meantime, I am going to soak up this gorgeous weather and just enjoy myself for a few days. I look forward to getting back to my family, but I will definitely relish these few days to myself!
