10 More Weeks!!!

I am now 30 weeks pregnant, which means I now have 10 weeks until Noah's due date. It could of course be a little longer than that if he decides to come late or it could be less if he decides to come early (which is what I think will happen). We are so excited about him coming and thinking that I still had until April sounded so far away. Now realizing that I only have 10 weeks left, I suddenly feel like that will be here in no time! My husband found out he has to have shoulder surgery (both shoulders) and it's a big operation. Which means we need to try and hurry and get both surgeries done before April and hopefully have him recovered enough so he can at least drive me to the hospital and hold Noah when he is born. Now I am realizing that 10 weeks is not a long time!
So now that I realize I will soon have a husband out of commission, I have been making lists of all the things I need him to do before his surgeries. Like climbing the ladder in our shed to the loft and getting all of the baby items I have stored there, putting together the double stroller, and anything else I can think of that I usually rely on my husband to do. I am also starting to figure out what all I need to buy before Noah is born and start stocking up on essentials so I won't have to go to the store anytime soon after Noah is born. I am also having a friend teach me how to make burp cloths and I am hoping they turn out cute since I am not crafty at all! It will be fun to have some things that I specifically made for Noah though. It's getting exciting to realize that in a few months Noah will actually be using all of these fun things!
Tobin is so excited to meet Noah. We got to see a newborn the other day and I think it helped Tobin to realize what Noah will be like when he is born. Tobin kept thinking Noah would be able to play with him right away, but now he realizes that Noah won't do much at all at first. While I was holding the baby, Tobin came up to me and said, "I like this baby. I can't wait until Noah comes!". Hopefully he will still be excited about Noah once Noah is actually here. I love that Tobin is so excited about his little brother and every night he likes to listen to Noah's heartbeat and feel Noah kick. I feel like they are already bonding!

I still occasionally throw up and have heartburn, but it's not too bad. I'm starting to get out of the cute pregnancy stage and starting to get into the uncomfortable and awkward stage, but I still have awhile before that actually hits. I did lose my balance the other day while out walking and unfortunately Tobin was holding my hand and he ended up smacking the sidewalk with me. Poor little guy landed on his face! Apparently I am now getting into the "losing balance" stage and I feel so bad that Tobin got hurt as a result of my imbalance.

Noah is a very active little boy! At our last doctor's visit it took the nurse about 3 minutes to get his heart rate because Noah kept kicking the monitor every time she placed it on my stomach. The little stinker! He does not like anything to press against my stomach! He will also always let me know when he's hungry by kicking me until I feed him. He is especially cute with my husband because whenever my husband tries to feel him, Noah won't kick him and instead he will just rub up against his hand. It's really cute but I think my husband would rather Noah kicked him because then he could feel it better than the rubbing. Oh, well...just 10 more weeks and then we'll get to meet little Noah!

You are still cute pregnant! You're right, it will be here before you know it. How exciting! I think it's great that you're making burp cloths! I made some of those curved ones that go around your neck; just made them with flannel and I love them. It will be so great that you'll have yours to save for Noah and tell him about when he's older.
