Educational Insights - Grandma's Trunk Alphabet Game Review & Giveaway (Open to US & Canada)

It's a new year and that means great new products at Educational Insights. I love Educational Insights because they have great educational toys and products for all ages. February is "The Games We Love" month at Educational Insights. They have a lot of great games available that are not only fun, but are also educational. Tobin has really been getting into games lately so I was excited when we were sent the Grandma's Trunk Alphabet Game.

The Grandma's Trunk Alphabet Game is a great educational game that is 5 games in 1. Through these different games kids can practice their letters and sounds, build memory skills, create stories, and play fun riddle games. The game includes an adorable cardboard trunk (which doubles as the carrying case for your cards), 26 alphabet picture cards, 26 alphabet riddle cards, and a guide which gives instructions for all 5 games.

Tobin has been learning his letters and he was so excited to play this fun game. Some of the games are a little bit advanced for Tobin (the game is recommended for 5+) but most of the games Tobin was able to play. The "What Comes Next?" game is where you place the alphabet cards in the trunk in the correct alphabetical order. This is a great way to help kids learn the correct sequence of the alphabet. The "Letter Sequence Memory" game is similar to the "What Comes Next?" game because you are still putting the pictures in the trunk by alphabetical sequence, but this time you have to remember all the objects that were put in before your certain letter. The "Memory Time" game helps build auditory memory as the children listen and chant. The memory time game is a bit advanced for Tobin and seems to be better for playing with more children so we haven't played that game yet. The "Grandma's Adventures" is a great way for your child to learn storytelling as they use the cards to tell a story. Tobin likes this game but he doesn't quite understand how to play it just yet.

Tobin's favorite game (and the one we play most often) is the "Grandma's Riddles" game. What you do is read the simple riddles and your child has to find the card that answers the riddle. Tobin is really good at it and it has taught him to listen carefully and use his logical thinking skills. He even likes to try and read the riddles, which is great practice for reading.

We love the Educational Insights Grandma's Trunk Alphabet Game and Tobin asks to play it daily. Since there are so many different ways to play the game, he seems to never get bored of it. I love that you can play this game with as few as only one child or as many as a whole classroom of children. It's priced at $14.99 which I think is a fantastic price for this great game. I highly recommend Grandma's Trunk Alphabet Game and even though it's recommended for ages 5+, I think even 3 and 4 year olds would enjoy this game as well.
