I'm Not Tired Yet! inspires a playful, endearing bedtime routine that leaves kids and grownups looking forward to nighttime, no matter how strong the allure of playtime.

My Review
If you have ever had to put a child to bed, I'm sure you have heard the "I'm not tired" phrase many times. Tobin is constantly telling me he's not tired or coming up with some sort of excuse of why he can't go to sleep. In this cute story, 6 year old Ralphie Mix, invents every excuse he can think of to delay going to bed. I love how the Mom is patient and turns these excuses into her own excuse to give him hugs, kisses, pokes, and more.
Tobin loved the book and I did too. It has rhyming words which makes the story flow easily and makes it a lot of fun. I find myself frustrated with Tobin's nightly excuses of why he can't go to sleep and I was amazed by Ralphie's mom that instead of getting frustrated, she was patient and gave Ralphie what he really needed...love and attention. It's a great lesson for parents as well as a fun story. We really enjoyed I'm Not Tired Yet! by Marianne Richmond and highly recommend it.

Oh, how sweet! Bedtime is frustrating for me, too, but mainly because I'm so tired with the new baby that it is hard for me to spend much time with Karina tucking her in. I just end up feeling guilty every night. Sigh. Some day Elena will sleep through the night, and so will I. Meanwhile, sounds like a very sweet book!
