Poppy is nervous about meeting so many new people, in a new place. But, ever courageous and supported by her family (Emma, too!), Poppy embarks upon this exciting adventure head-on! Poppy begins to realize that although these animals look different, act different, and are from different places, they are all the same at heart. We all smile in the same language! Krist Yamaguchi is a household name: New York Times bestseller, Gold Medalist, correspondent for the Today Show during the 2010 Olympics, 2008 Dancing with the Stars winner, etc. Dream Big, Little Pig has garnered rave reviews, tremendous media attention, sold more than 15,000 copies through bookscan and debuted at #2 on the New York Times bestsellers list Kristi's modern content coupled with positive message makes this more than just another celebrity picture book.

My Review
I grew up watching figure skating and Kristi Yamaguchi was one of my favorite ice skaters. So I was excited when I learned that she is also a children's author. I love children's books and Tobin loves for me to read to him so we were excited to receive It's a Big World, Little Pig! to review. First of all I love that it's a hardback and the cover is so beautiful that it just draws you to the book. The illustrations are beautiful and I think they really capture your child's interest.

The story is about a little pig named Poppy who gets to go to Paris to participate in the World Games ice-skating championship. She is a bit nervous but her family and friends are very supportive and encourage her to follow her dreams. She gets to meet others from all around the world and at first she is a little worried because they all seem so different. As she gets to know them, she realizes that we are all the same at heart and we all smile the same language. It's a great story about courage, friendship, and how we are all the same inside no matter what language we speak or how we look on the outside.

Tobin loved the book and I was surprised that he was able to sit through the whole thing and has requested that we read it several times. So even though I think a little girl would absolutely adore this book, I think it's also a great book for boys too! I think children of all ages will love this book, as well as adults. It has a great message and beautiful artwork. It's a Big World, Little Pig! will be available March 6th and will be priced at $16.99 U.S. All proceeds will benefit early childhood literacy programs supported by Kristi's Always Dream Foundation.

**I received the product I reviewed free of charge in order to do an honest review. No other compensation was received. My thoughts are 100% my own and others may have a different opinion..**
