I Need Diaper System/Diaper Pail Recommendations!!!

So I am trying to buy the last few things I need for Noah before he is born. Since I am having another boy, I don't need too much but there were a few things I definitely wanted that I didn't have with Tobin. One of those things is a diaper pail or diaper system. I had bought two over the course of a year with Tobin, but I had bought cheap ones and they were horrible and I ended up throwing them out. So now I am willing to spend the money on a nicer one, as long as it's a good one.

The number one thing I want is that it KEEPS the odor from getting into the room. Tobin's were so smelly that it seemed pointless to have them. I don't care if I need to buy special liners as long as they are easy to find, although I would prefer being able to just use regular garbage bags, but it's not a must.

So all you Moms, please give me some advice! If you have a diaper pail/diaper system that you use for disposable diapers that you just love and have been using for awhile, PLEASE comment below and tell me what kind you use. Thank you!!!!

I'm Not Tired Yet! by Marianne Richmond

I'm Not Tired Yet!
by Marianne Richmond
For every parent whose child won't settle into bed without a dozen excuses, here is an adorable bedtime story that makes us laugh with recognition from beloved, award-winning author Marianne Richmond. With her signature heartfelt illustrations and whimsical text, I'm Not Tired Yet! helps every parent ease their child off to dreamland. I'm Not Tired Yet! inspires a playful, endearing bedtime routine that leaves kids and grownups looking forward to nighttime, no matter how strong the allure of playtime.

My Review
If you have ever had to put a child to bed, I'm sure you have heard the "I'm not tired" phrase many times. Tobin is constantly telling me he's not tired or coming up with some sort of excuse of why he can't go to sleep. In this cute story, 6 year old Ralphie Mix, invents every excuse he can think of to delay going to bed. I love how the Mom is patient and turns these excuses into her own excuse to give him hugs, kisses, pokes, and more.
Tobin loved the book and I did too. It has rhyming words which makes the story flow easily and makes it a lot of fun. I find myself frustrated with Tobin's nightly excuses of why he can't go to sleep and I was amazed by Ralphie's mom that instead of getting frustrated, she was patient and gave Ralphie what he really needed...love and attention. It's a great lesson for parents as well as a fun story. We really enjoyed I'm Not Tired Yet! by Marianne Richmond and highly recommend it.

Pull-Ups Potty Dance Party House Party

This past weekend I had the opportunity through House Party to host a Pull-Ups Potty Dance Party. This was perfect for us since I am in the midst of trying to potty train Tobin so I was hoping this would help motivate him. So we invited a bunch of his friends over and had a potty dance party!
We were sent a fun party pack that included inflatable guitars, Pull-Ups DVD's, dance mats, potty charts, stickers, valuable coupons, and so much more! As hosts, we also got a coupon for free Pull-Ups.
We decided for food wise we would just be casual and have cupcakes, fruit snacks, water, and juice boxes.

Once all of our guests arrived, we played some games on the DVD. The kids had fun and learned a lot about potty training. Then afterwards we danced to the potty dance!

It was a lot of fun and even the parents got into it. The kids loved the dance and the song really gets stuck in your head. The kids begged to keep dancing, so we ended up doing the potty dance over and over again before we finally stopped to have our treats. It was a lot of fun and the other parents have told me how much their kids have loved doing the potty dance and that they love watching the DVD at home. The party was a great success.

**I received a party pack from house party free of charge in order to host the party. No other compensation was received. My thoughts are 100% my own and others may have a different opinion. A BIG thanks to houseparty.com and Pull-Ups for the opportunity.**

It's pretty easy. I'm still learning though, so if you catch a mistake on the forms, let me know and I can try and fix it. Thanks! Hope this makes it easier for all of you to enter my giveaways.

Get Creative with Oh! Nuts Jordan Almonds

I have been a big fan of Oh! Nuts for awhile and recently I had the opportunity to review their Jordan Almonds and come up with something creative to do with them. I thought of a few crafts but their just way too yummy to not eat them, so I decided to use them in a baking project. Since Easter is coming up soon, I thought it would be fun to come up with some cute Easter cupcakes using pink Jordan Almonds.

First, I baked a batch of chocolate cupcakes.

Next, I used green buttercream frosting and made "grass".

Then I placed some pink Jordan Almonds to look like eggs.

I made another cupcake the same way except this time I added licorice and a chocolate bunny...so then it became a cute, but edible, Easter basket!

The cupcakes turned out to be adorable and I think I will make these again for Easter. They tasted so yummy! I especially loved the Oh! Nuts Jordan Almonds. They weren't too hard and were a very decent size with the perfect amount of almond, chocolate, and coating. The only problem I had was trying to keep everyone from eating them so I would have enough for all the cupcakes! The Oh! Nuts Jordan Almonds come in a variety of colors and are very delicious. So be sure to check them out for your next craft or baking project.

**I was sent a free bag of Jordan almonds to review free of charge in order to do an honest review. I am also being entered into a contest for posting this. No other compensation was received. My thoughts are 100% my own and others may have different opinions. A BIG thanks to Oh! Nuts for the opportunity to review.**

Poppy is nervous about meeting so many new people, in a new place. But, ever courageous and supported by her family (Emma, too!), Poppy embarks upon this exciting adventure head-on! Poppy begins to realize that although these animals look different, act different, and are from different places, they are all the same at heart. We all smile in the same language! My Review
I grew up watching figure skating and Kristi Yamaguchi was one of my favorite ice skaters. So I was excited when I learned that she is also a children's author. I love children's books and Tobin loves for me to read to him so we were excited to receive It's a Big World, Little Pig! to review. First of all I love that it's a hardback and the cover is so beautiful that it just draws you to the book. The illustrations are beautiful and I think they really capture your child's interest.

The story is about a little pig named Poppy who gets to go to Paris to participate in the World Games ice-skating championship. She is a bit nervous but her family and friends are very supportive and encourage her to follow her dreams. She gets to meet others from all around the world and at first she is a little worried because they all seem so different. As she gets to know them, she realizes that we are all the same at heart and we all smile the same language. It's a great story about courage, friendship, and how we are all the same inside no matter what language we speak or how we look on the outside.

Tobin loved the book and I was surprised that he was able to sit through the whole thing and has requested that we read it several times. So even though I think a little girl would absolutely adore this book, I think it's also a great book for boys too! I think children of all ages will love this book, as well as adults. It has a great message and beautiful artwork. It's a Big World, Little Pig! will be available March 6th and will be priced at $16.99 U.S. All proceeds will benefit early childhood literacy programs supported by Kristi's Always Dream Foundation.

8 Months Pregnant

I have reached 32 weeks so now I am officially 8 months pregnant. I am starting to feel huge and I have been having contractions on and off for the past couple of weeks. So I'm starting to realize that my time being pregnant is coming to an end soon. I can't believe how fast time is flying. This has definitely been a harder pregnancy than Tobin's was. I still throw up occasionally and there have been several meals that have made me scurrying for the bathroom...so apparently Noah is picky on what he likes! Noah is pretty active and kicks quite a bit throughout the day. I can tell that he is starting to run out of room though and he's constantly stretching. Even though I feel huge, I think I am still a lot smaller than I was when I was pregnant with Tobin. Let's compare! Here is a picture of me when I was when I was 28 weeks pregnant and 8 months pregnant with Tobin:
 28 weeks

 8 months pregnant (32 weeks)

Now here is a picture of me pregnant with Noah at 8 months:

I think I look a little smaller now and my Mom is constantly saying how I seem so much smaller with this pregnancy than Tobin's. So that's good!

I'm getting so excited about Noah. I still have a few things I want to get ready before he arrives, but we are definitely getting close to ready for him to be born. Tobin keeps asking me if it's Easter yet...because he wants Noah to come (we have told him that Noah will be here after Easter). We keep telling him to just enjoy his last few months of being the only child...because I think once Noah arrives, Tobin will be wanting Noah to go back! I'm excited for us to become a family of 4 and I think Tobin is going to be such a great big brother. He is constantly giving my belly random kisses and telling Noah he loves him.

I am starting to get everything prepared for Noah's arrival. If you have any suggestions of things I should get ready, buy, or do before Noah's due date...please leave me a comment and let me know!

I am hoping to try and get caught up on posts...I have a lot of great reviews and giveaways coming up. So stay tuned and I will write posts when I can!
